My studio practice evolves. I strive to achieve higher merits as a painter and continuously develop my own symbolism and modes of creating artworks. Realistic subject matter steps back and gives way to the expressive qualities of the materials. Surface, paint application, color and contrast in my work become more interesting then naturalistic portrayal of subjects. The necessity of adding the realism in my new series disappears altogether.
