VIEW ROYAL - Mixing cement by hand and placing each stone, local artist Andreas Kunert is nearing completion on his latest project. A large rock wall along a portion of the Old Island Hwy is giving new life and culture to the area.
Using hundreds of stones from places like Duncan and Mexico, Kunert employs the method of sacred geometry, the same design principle as the Egyptian pyramids.
The wall which also incorporates round fossil stones is collaboration with wife Naomi Zettle. The two will add a time capsule into the wall in the final stage, full of thoughts and comments from those who pass by and enjoy it.
